Video: Jaguar Teases New XF Sportbrake at the Wimbledon Tennis Court

With less than 70 days to go until The Wimbledon 2017 Tennis Championship, the famously manicured surface of the All England Lawn Tennis Club served as the canvas for a large-scale outline of Jaguar’s upcoming sports estate model – the XF Sportbrake.

While the first teaser which shows the car’s silhouette was painted onto Wimbledon's famous centre court, Jaguar also offered up a second teaser of the actual car.

Although, being shown from an aerial point of view, there isn't much to see, other than a panoramic roof.
 
“What we have done with the XF Sportbrake is that we’ve created a silhouette which sweeps towards the rear, almost into the distance, and really gives the car a sense of speed and sportiness. It will bring new levels of practicality to the range without sacrificing the dynamic design and agile handling our customers expect,” said Ian Callum, Jaguar’s director of design.

No technical details have been released officially yet, but our guess is that the XF Sportbrake will be powered by the same engines that powers the current XF sedan – a 247 hp 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine and a 340 hp V6 mill.

Set to go on sale in the third quarter of the year, the XF Sportbrake will join the XF sedan in the Jaguar line-up once it is launched.
